The Vibe
You have to check out Bedoy's Bakery while you're here. It's a real San Antonio institution, known for its incredible pan dulce and custom cakes that are true works of art. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you; inside, you'll find a bustling, no-frills shop where the aroma of freshly baked conchas and empanadas fills the air. It's a popular spot, especially on weekend mornings, so expect a line, but it moves quickly. Grab a number when you walk in and be ready to point out your selections from the overflowing display cases. Their marranitos, those pig-shaped gingerbread cookies, are a must-try, and the tres leches cake is probably the best in town. Parking can be a little tight in their small lot, but there's usually street parking available nearby.
