You'll really enjoy Civic Park at Hemisfair, especially on a nice afternoon. It's a newer addition, but it's already a favorite for its thoughtful design and the way it blends into the historic Hemisfair grounds. You'll find plenty of open grassy areas perfect for a picnic or just lounging, alongside some fantastic water features that are a huge hit with kids, particularly the shallow splash pad area. What makes it special is the way it connects to the other parts of Hemisfair, like Yanaguana Garden, so you can easily wander between the different zones. There are often food trucks parked nearby, especially on weekends, offering a variety of local bites, so you don't have to leave the park for a snack. Parking can be a bit tricky right at Hemisfair, so I usually aim for one of the garages a block or two away and enjoy the short walk. It’s a great spot for families, sure, but also for anyone wanting a relaxed outdoor space with a vibrant, community feel.
