You know, if you're looking for a really solid brunch spot with a nice vibe, Empire Café on Westheimer is a classic. It's got that European bistro feel, especially with their fantastic outdoor patio that's perfect for people-watching on a sunny day. Their cappuccinos are always on point, and you can't go wrong with the smoked salmon plate or any of their omelets. Expect it to be a bit of a splurge, but the quality and atmosphere totally justify it. Weekends, especially around midday, it gets pretty busy, so try to go a little earlier or later to snag a good table, especially if you want to sit outside. Parking can be a bit tight, but there's usually street parking a block or two away. It’s definitely a spot where you can linger over coffee and conversation for a while.
