You should definitely check out the Fort Worth Aviation Museum. It's truly a five-star experience if you're into military history and aircraft. What makes it special is the incredible collection of meticulously restored planes, many of which you can actually get up close to and even sit in the cockpit, which is a rare treat. They have everything from Cold War-era fighters to Vietnam War helicopters, and the volunteers, many of whom are veterans, are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share stories about the aircraft and their service. It's a fantastic spot for families, especially with kids who love planes, and it's equally engaging for solo enthusiasts. Plan to spend a good couple of hours exploring, and you'll find plenty of free parking right there.
