You've got to check out Holy Cacao when you're in town. It's this super chill spot on South First, really close to downtown but still feels like a neighborhood hangout. Most people go for their incredible drinking chocolate – the Mayan version with a little kick is a personal favorite, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. They also do these amazing vegan soft serve swirls that are surprisingly decadent. The vibe is very Austin, with a lot of natural wood and plants, making it a perfect place to unwind solo with a book or catch up with a friend. Parking can be a bit tight on the street, especially on weekends, so sometimes it's easier to find a spot a block or two away and enjoy the walk. It gets pretty busy around mid-morning, so if you're looking for a quieter experience, aim for an early afternoon visit.
