The Vibe
You have to check out Johnny Beans next time you're craving a solid coffee shop experience, especially if you're in South Austin. It consistently earns its 4.7 stars for a reason, and it's become a local favorite for a reason. The vibe is exactly what you want from an Austin cafe: laid-back, plenty of natural light, and usually a mix of students, remote workers, and friends catching up. They do great espresso drinks, of course, but their breakfast tacos are surprisingly good, especially the migas. It gets pretty busy on weekend mornings, so if you're looking to snag a good spot and avoid the rush, try to get there before 9 AM or after 1 PM. Parking can be a bit tight right out front, but there's usually street parking a block or two away.
