You’ll find Maverick Distilling right there in the historic downtown, just steps from the Alamo, so parking can be a bit tricky; plan on using a nearby garage. This isn't just a tasting room, it's a full experience, housed in a beautifully restored building with a real sense of history. They craft their own spirits on-site, everything from whiskey to gin, and you can really taste the dedication in each pour. I'd highly recommend doing one of their tours; you get to see the stills up close and learn about their unique distilling process, which really enhances the tasting afterward. Their flights are excellent for sampling a range, but don't miss trying their Cask Strength Bourbon if you appreciate a robust whiskey. It's a fantastic spot for an afternoon out with friends or a sophisticated pre-dinner stop.
