You'll really enjoy the McNay; it's a five-star experience and a local favorite. This isn't your typical sprawling museum; it's housed in a stunning Spanish Colonial Revival mansion, giving it a much more intimate, elegant feel. The collection itself is fantastic, focusing on modern and contemporary art, with a particular strength in European and American works, especially French Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. What truly sets it apart is the beautiful sculpture garden and the tranquil grounds, perfect for a leisurely stroll before or after you explore the galleries. It’s a wonderful spot for a relaxed afternoon, whether you're solo or with a small group, and definitely shines in the late morning or early afternoon when the light hits the architecture just right. Parking is generally easy and free, a nice bonus.
