You've got to check out Merfolk's Specialty Coffee next time you're in South Austin; it's a five-star spot, but definitely on the pricier side. The outdoor patio is where it's at, especially in the mornings before it gets too hot, with plenty of shaded tables under those big oak trees. They’re famous for their Siren's Kiss latte, a cardamom and rosewater creation that's subtly sweet and unique, and their nitro cold brew is incredibly smooth. Expect a bustling crowd of laptop warriors and friends catching up, particularly around brunch, so parking in their small lot can be tricky. My advice is to try and go early on a weekday to really snag a good seat and avoid the weekend rush.
