The Vibe
You really should check out the Modern Art Museum while you're here. It’s a five-star experience, and what truly sets it apart is the architecture itself, designed by Tadao Ando – the building, with its massive concrete and glass pavilions seemingly floating on a reflecting pond, is a work of art before you even step inside. They have an impressive permanent collection of post-WWII art, including pieces by Pollock, Rothko, and Warhol, but I always make sure to see their rotating exhibitions, which are consistently thought-provoking. It's fantastic for a solo contemplative visit, a quiet afternoon with a date, or even an outing with older kids who appreciate art. Weekday mornings are usually the least crowded, making it easier to really spend time with the pieces without feeling rushed. Parking is straightforward, with a dedicated lot right there.
