It's an outdoor-only joint, so plan accordingly, but the vibe is super relaxed with plenty of picnic tables under the shade of oak trees, perfect for a sunny afternoon. They're known for their ridiculously tender brisket and a unique jalapeño-cheddar sausage that always sells out fast. I'd recommend getting there a bit before noon, especially on a weekend, to avoid the worst of the line and ensure you snag some of that sausage. Parking can be a little tight on the street, but there's usually something a block or two away. It’s a great place for a casual group lunch, just be ready for that smoky aroma to cling to your clothes.
