You absolutely have to check out Rokwood while you're in town. It's a Dallas institution, really, known for its high-energy atmosphere and that incredible outdoor patio. Most people head there after 10 PM on a Friday or Saturday when the dance floor really gets going, but even earlier in the evening, the outdoor seating is perfect for grabbing a well-made cocktail and people-watching. They're particularly known for their specialty margaritas, so definitely try one of those; the spicy mango is a personal favorite. If you're going on a weekend, try to get there a little before 9:30 PM to avoid the longest lines, especially if you want a good spot on the patio. It's definitely a spot for groups or a lively date night, not really a quiet solo kind of place.
