You absolutely have to check out Ruby City while you're here. It’s this incredible contemporary art museum, easily five stars, and it's free. The building itself is a work of art, designed by David Adjaye, with its striking ruby-red precast concrete panels that shimmer differently depending on the light – it’s a photographer's dream, especially around sunset. Inside, the collection is really thoughtfully curated, featuring powerful pieces by artists like Marina Abramović and Yayoi Kusama, but it never feels overwhelming. You'll find a peaceful, almost contemplative atmosphere there, making it perfect for a solo visit or a quiet afternoon with a friend. Parking is usually pretty easy in their small lot, or you can often find street parking nearby, and it’s rarely overly crowded, which is a huge plus for really absorbing the art.
