You've got to hit Smokers Only BBQ while you're in town, it's a Durant institution and easily five stars in my book. It’s mostly outdoor seating, so plan for good weather, but that just adds to the authentic backyard BBQ feel. They’re famous for their brisket, which is always perfectly tender with a beautiful smoke ring, and their loaded baked potatoes are a meal in themselves. It gets pretty packed around lunchtime, especially on weekends, so if you can swing by a little earlier, say around 11:30, you'll beat the biggest rush. Parking can be a bit tight right out front, but there’s usually some street parking available just a block or so away. Trust me, the wait, if there is one, is absolutely worth it for that brisket.
