You've got to check out Solaro Estate Winery, especially if you're out near Dripping Springs. It's truly a five-star experience, not just for the wine, but the whole atmosphere. They're particularly known for their Tempranillo and Viognier, which are consistently excellent, showcasing the Texas terroir beautifully. The tasting room itself is elegant but comfortable, with a knowledgeable staff that makes you feel welcome without being stuffy. I'd recommend going on a weekday afternoon if you can, as it gets quite popular on weekends, though even then the views from their patio are worth any slight wait. Parking is ample, and if you're considering a bottle, definitely ask about their reserve selections; they often have something special not always on the main list.
