You absolutely have to check out Tau Ceti, it's easily one of Austin's best new experiences. It's essentially a massive, immersive art installation that plays with light and sound in a way I haven't seen anywhere else. Picture walking through a series of interconnected, dark rooms, each one erupting with pulsing, colorful light sequences that feel like you're navigating a cosmic nebula. They've really nailed the sound design too, with ambient, electronic scores that perfectly complement the visuals, making the whole thing feel incredibly transportive. It’s perfect for a unique date night or just a cool solo adventure if you want to clear your head. Go during a weekday afternoon if you can to avoid the biggest crowds, and definitely take your time in each space – don't rush through it.
