The Vibe
You absolutely have to check out The Ridge at the Hill. It's tucked away a bit, but once you find it, you'll see why it consistently gets 4.8 stars. They do elevated Tex-Mex, not your typical enchilada plate, more like seared scallops with a poblano cream or their famous cochinita pibil tacos with house-made tortillas. The real draw is the expansive outdoor patio, especially at sunset, where you get a genuine hill country feel even though you're still in the city. It's perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends; families do well there too, but it's more of a sophisticated vibe. Parking can be a little tight on weekends, so aim for an earlier dinner, around 6 PM, to grab a good spot and beat the rush. Definitely try their prickly pear margarita.
