It's known for its huge, mature trees that provide fantastic shade, making it a favorite spot even on warmer days. Families flock to the big, well-maintained playground, which has separate areas for younger and older kids, so it never feels too crowded for any age group. You'll often see people enjoying picnics under the trees or taking leisurely strolls along the paved walking path that winds around the perimeter. Parking is usually pretty easy to find in the designated lot right off Morton Street, and even on busy weekend afternoons, there's generally enough space to spread out and find your own little peaceful corner.
